Deer Hunts
Deer Hunts
Here in southern Wyoming, deer hunts with Battle Mountain Outfitting take place in variety of terrain from the low, open sagebrush plains to steep forest above timberline. Although there is plenty of opportunity, patience is needed for deer hunting. And if you have that, success is likely!
Guided Deer Hunting
Our family ranch has been in operation for the past 115 years and it offers some of the best pronghorn antelope and deer hunting in southern Wyoming. It’s combination of hilly, sagebrush-covered terrain and several wooded areas are perfectly suited for antelope hunts and deer hunts.
In addition to our private ranch, we hunt forests, sagebrush canyons, and heavy blow-down timber. (We will drive timber when we have enough people hunting). The elevation hunted varies from 7,000 ft. to 10,800 ft.
A good set of binoculars and/or spotting scope and a flat-shooting long-range gun are recommended.
*Guests are welcome to bring campers or RVs to our house where they can connect to water and electricity. Otherwise, we can recommend area lodging accommodations.
Deer Hunt Dates
Deer hunts are done mostly by spotting and stalking from October 1st through October 14th.
